Planning & Reporting

Annually, schools are required to develop and publish a School Continuous Improvement Plan (SCIP) that is aligned to the GYRD Annual Education Plan (AEP).  The GYRD AEP must align to the Alberta Education Business Plan.

At the end of the school year, schools are required to develop and publish an Annual Education Results Report (AERR).  This report summarizes outcomes, measures targets and achievement.  Specific reports include results on provincial achievement tests (grades three, six, and nine), diploma exams (grade twelve) and provincial surveys (students, parents, and teachers).

Provincial Accountability measures are included in school and divisional plans and reports.  For specific information on GYRD and school planning and reporting requirements, click on:

During the school year, three formal school review sessions per school are conducted by Education Services Center school liaisons with school staff members on work-in-progress (SCIP strategies) to address continuous improvement (AERR results).
